Challenge
As part of an EU initiative, the Platooning Ensemble project needed a web platform to communicate the goals, progress, and results of its cutting-edge truck platooning research to stakeholders across Europe. The existing communication tools were insufficient to explain complex technological concepts to both industry professionals and the broader public. A clear, modern, and accessible digital presence was essential to increase awareness, promote collaboration, and support knowledge dissemination.
Solution
Veedoo conducted a UX/UI review and usability testing to uncover structural and visual weaknesses in the previous materials. A new information architecture was developed to improve content discoverability, and a modular design system was introduced for visual consistency. The redesigned web platform featured responsive layouts, clear messaging, and dedicated sections for research, pilot activities, and outcomes. Veedoo also ensured the platform could scale with the project’s communication needs and support multilingual audiences.
Impact
The new platform effectively communicated the mission and technological advancements of the Platooning Ensemble project. It enabled smooth access to project data, pilot results, and industry resources for stakeholders and EU partners. By the end of the four-year initiative, the platform had played a key role in raising awareness around truck platooning and its benefits for fuel economy, road safety, and emissions reduction.
