Challenge
Runday is a free, community-based running initiative that brings people together every Saturday morning for a friendly 5km run, jog, or walk. With no entry fees and no pressure, Runday aims to make fitness accessible to everyone. But as participation grew, so did the need for a robust digital infrastructure to support community engagement, streamline event coordination, and enhance the experience for both runners and organisers.
Solution
Since Runday’s launch in 2016, Veedoo has served as its long-term digital partner, designing and developing a scalable, multilingual platform tailored to the needs of grassroots sports communities. We built a custom community management system, a reliable race timing solution, and a user-friendly mobile app that helps participants find local events, track their progress, and stay connected. Veedoo also supported Runday’s brand development and outreach through graphic design, social media marketing, and a strategy for automated newsletters and communications.
Impact
Runday has grown into a vibrant network of more than 18,000 runners across multiple countries, with over 5,000 events organised to date. The digital tools developed by Veedoo have made it easier than ever for volunteers to organise runs and for participants to join them, promoting inclusivity, health, and community through sport. Whether online or on the starting line, Runday’s message remains the same: fitness should be free, fun, and for everyone.
